About Lipo360

Lipo360 is an innovative approach to fat removal and body contouring. Addressing multiple zones of the body in a single session allows for optimal body shaping. (1) For those who are struggling with excess weight in specific areas, this procedure can significantly improve their appearance by sculpting a more defined physique. The human body is made up of complex structures, including skin, fat, muscle, and connective tissues. Excess fat accumulation occurs when the body stores more energy than it expends. There are a few sites on the human body that are especially prone to fat accumulation. (2) Even after successful weight loss, many patients are left with stubborn deposits of fat in these locations. This can negatively impact a patient’s self-esteem and confidence. (3) Through Lipo360, we can remove fat from multiple parts of the body, allowing patients to achieve their appearance goals in one session.

Benefits

There are multiple benefits to receiving a comprehensive Lipo360 procedure. At Denver Liposuction Specialty Clinic, our expertise allows patients to see results through:

  • Comprehensive contouring: Treating multiple areas in one session leads to an overall enhanced body shape.
  • Improved confidence: Removing stubborn fat can result in an improved body image, which often boosts self-esteem.
  • A minimally invasive approach: Many liposuction techniques involve smaller incisions, resulting in reduced scarring compared to traditional surgical methods.
  • Quick recovery: Many patients experience shorter recovery times due to high-tech fat removal techniques.
  • A customizable treatment plan: Each liposuction procedure can be tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of the patient.
  • Long-lasting results: Once fat cells are removed, they do not return unless significant weight gain occurs, making the results very satisfying.
  • Balanced proportions: Access to various body parts means that patients can achieve a proportionate figure that might have been unattainable through weight loss alone.

Candidates

Lipo360 procedures are best for patients who have multiple fat deposits on their bodies that do not respond to dieting or exercise. Patients should also be at or near their ideal body weight. Liposuction is a body contouring procedure, not a weight loss treatment. Over-harvesting body fat for the goal of weight reduction is not recommended and can increase the likelihood of complications. It is important that patients also be generally healthy, not smoke, and keep realistic expectations for their results. An evaluation from one of the Denver Liposuction Specialty Clinic experts during the consultation can help determine if you are an ideal candidate for this procedure.

Consultation

A personal consultation is essential for determining your candidacy for Lipo360. During your visit to the Denver Liposuction Specialty Clinic, your patient coordinator will review your medical history and address any concerns you may have regarding the procedure.

Patients will undergo a thorough physical examination, including an assessment of their skin elasticity and fat deposits. After discussing individual goals and expectations, your coordinator will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Feel free to ask any questions or express any doubts; establishing trust and understanding is critical in the physician-patient relationship. To schedule your consultation, please submit our online contact form or call our office at (720) 372-2155.

Preparation

Closely following the preparation instructions you receive is an important part of your liposuction procedure. Doing so will optimize your results and ensure a safe and effective procedure. You may be asked to cease certain medications or supplements, especially any that thin the blood. If you smoke or use other forms of nicotine, you will be asked to abstain before, during, and after your treatment. Please ensure that you have made necessary arrangements for time away from work or social engagements and have given yourself enough time to rest and recover without interruptions.

Procedure

Your Lipo360 treatment will begin with administering anesthesia.. (2) A key part of liposuction treatments is tumescent fluid. This fluid is a mixture of saline (sterile salt water), epinephrine (adrenaline), and an anesthetic, normally lidocaine. This is injected into the fatty tissues and helps to swell fat, making it easier to remove while also constricting blood vessels and numbing tissue internally. (2)

Once anesthetized, your surgeon will make incisions into the targeted fat deposits, allowing them to access the fat with a liposuction cannula. We may use one of (or a combination of) a few different liposuction technologies to remove fat. Aside from standard tumescent liposuction, Denver Liposuction Specialty Clinic also offers VASER liposuction and SmartLipo. VASER, or Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, uses ultrasound technology to liquefy fat cells, allowing for easy removal while limiting damage to the surrounding tissues. This technology has the added benefit of increasing collagen production in the surrounding skin tissues, leading to tighter, firmer, and healthier-looking skin that better adapts to your body’s new contours. SmartLipo uses lasers to heat fat cells and also liquifies them for removal, although its skin-tightening properties are less effective than VASER.

Your liposuction specialist will maneuver the cannula throughout your targeted fat deposits and remove fat. In a Lipo360 procedure, this process will repeat until all of your targeted fat deposits are reduced. Once your ideal body contour is achieved, your surgeon will close your incisions, and you can begin your recovery.

Recovery

Post-operative care is essential to ensure proper healing. Most patients will experience some swelling, bruising, and discomfort after the procedure, but these symptoms usually subside within a few weeks. Attending follow-up appointments will help us monitor your healing progress. Patients can gradually resume normal activities as tolerated, with restrictions on intense physical exertion for a duration of time specified by their liposuction specialist.

Results

Some results from a Lipo360 procedure may be seen immediately after the procedure, especially before swelling sets in and accentuated contours are visible. Your body contours will continue to improve over time as swelling subsides. Some patients may experience temporary weight gain due to swelling, but this will fade. (2) Many individuals appreciate a slimmer, more toned appearance. Subtle improvements allow patients to feel confident when wearing form-fitting clothing or swimming attire. (3) Maintaining a healthy lifestyle that incorporates both diet and exercise will aid in sustaining the results achieved through liposuction.

FAQ

Are there any risks associated with Lipo360?

As with any surgical procedure, there are risks, including bleeding, infection, uneven contours, and adverse reactions to anesthesia. Discussing these risks thoroughly with your liposuction specialist will ensure all concerns are addressed.

How long does it take to recover after Lipo360?

Most patients can return to regular activities within one to two weeks. However, more strenuous activities may take longer to resume, and individualized recovery plans will be established.

Can Lipo360 be combined with other treatments?

Yes, many patients choose to combine Lipo360 with other body contouring procedures or non-invasive treatments for enhanced results. This combination can be discussed during your consultation.

Are the results of a Lipo360 procedure permanent?

While the fat cells removed from the body do not regenerate, significant weight gain can lead to the development of new fat cells. Maintaining a balanced diet and active lifestyle is crucial for long-term maintenance.
